Lucknow: In fresh appointment to the Allahabad High Court, Justice Sanjay Yadav has been appointed as the Chief Justice. His appointment was recommended by the Supreme Court Collegium. Justice Sanjay Yadav started his career as a lawyer in Madhya Pradesh on 25 August 1986. Started practice in Madhya Pradesh High Court he served as Deputy Advocate General of Madhya Pradesh. He was then elevated as a judge of the Madhya Pradesh High Court on March 2, 2007. He was made a permanent judge on January 15, 2010. Was appointed as Acting Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court from 6 October, 2019 to 02 November, 2019 and from 30 September, 2020 to 02 January, 2021.

The Central Government appointed Sanjay Yadav as the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court with effect from April 14, 2021. He was transferred from Madhya Pradesh to Allahabad High Court on January 8, 2021. Former Chief Justice Govind Mathur administered the oath to him at a function held in his justice hall.
