KDA helping public now extend their role as landlord for a longer time

Kanpur: As per the clear intent of the government, development authorities are providing facilities to the general public. The Kanpur Development Authority is providing golden opportunity to the tenants in the colonies of Kanpur Development Authority to become landlords for a long time. To give ownership rights to the occupants of the rented colonies in its various housing schemes, camps are being organized on zone wise from 19th July 2021 to 6th October 2021 and the occupants are being provided the opportunity to buy houses.

Arrangements have been made for the original tenants to get the application form distribution book in the camp itself and deposit the desired registration amount in the respective bank. So far 85 tenants have submitted applications to the authority to become landlords.
Similarly, under the one-time settlement scheme by Kanpur Development Authority, the defaulter allottees were expected to take advantage of the scheme by July 31, 2021, as per the mandate, giving the last opportunity to get rebate on penal interest. Accordingly, 894 applications were received, uploading which action is being taken for disposal, under which 607 applications have been disposed of and action is being taken to dispose of the remaining.

With the objective of establishing direct communication between the general public and the officials and speedy resolution of the problems of the citizens and allottees, three days problem solving camp/fair is being organized every month by the Kanpur Development Authority. The employees of Group ‘D’ working in the authority were given the benefit of promotion under the service conditions as per the guidelines of the government.
