Khelo India should acts as the launching pad for Paris Olympics – Anurag Singh Thakur

Khelo India Center will be built in every district of Uttar Pradesh said Anurag Singh Thakur. He said Uttar Pradesh, once known for riots, is now known for sports. Khelo India seeks out and grooms sportspersons, he said. Prime Minister has approved 3200 crores for Khelo India.
While addressing the people of Khelo India University Games 2022, Mascot, Jersey, Anthem and Torch launch program in Uttar Pradesh at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Sports and Youth Affairs Anurag Singh Thakur said that Uttar Pradesh was known for riots is now known for sports. Thakur said that Khelo India, which was launched by the Prime Minister, not only scouts but also grooms sportspersons. Thakur said that the answer Khelo India centers will be set up in every district of the state.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that whenever India wins a medal anywhere, the contribution of Uttar Pradesh will definitely be there. Thakur said that a few days ago we have completed 5 years of Khelo India launch which has progressed very fast.
The Union Minister said that the players have also won medals for the country and today I can say this. I can say that the third biggest event of Khelo India University Games is going to be held in Uttar Pradesh. The way Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has worked to promote sports here and now Uttar Pradesh has got the hosting of Khelo India Games, so I can say that the day is not far when medals will be won in any corner of the world.
If India wins, Uttar Pradesh will contribute a lot in it. The Union Minister said in his address that the Prime Minister has made a provision to promote the name of India on the world stage. In the end, Thakur called upon the youth and sportspersons to play for winning and go till the Paris Olympics.
