KhiladiX Legends Cricket Trophy heralds another unique option for cricket watchers

Delhi / Ghaziabad: The KhiladiX Legends Cricket Trophy, to be played at the VVIP Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Ghaziabad from March 22-30, was unveiled  at a hotel in Delhi in the presence of cricketer Virender Sehwag. The nine-day T20 tournament for former cricketers will have 6 teams and a total of 18 matches including the final.

Speaking on the occasion, Virender Sehwag said, “What BVCI is doing for former cricketers like us is wonderful and commendable. Because by organizing such leagues players like us keep in touch with the game and especially the game which we have been loving since childhood.

These legendary tournaments will help us in various ways including enhancing our professional careers, meeting old friends as well as helping us stay fit. I dare to say that some of us still have the ability to challenge some of the present day cricketers. I am sure that Legends Cricket Trophy will provide a lot of entertainment to the fans of the game, especially in India.”

The six teams have been named Chandigarh Champs, Nagpur Ninjas, Patna Warriors, Vizag Titans, Indore Knights and Guwahati Avengers. Some prominent former cricketers who will be seen in action apart from Sehwag include Harbhajan Singh, Suresh Raina, Sanath Jayasuriya, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Nick Compton, Richard Levi, Isuru Udana, Praveen Kumar, Thisara Perera among many other international cricketers.
