Kohli’s Virat knock

New Delhi: The year 2023 has got off to a great start for Team India’s former captain Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli has scored a century in the first ODI against Sri Lanka in Guwahati. This is the 45th century of his ODI career, while it is the 73rd international century. India scored 373 against Sri Lanka in the first ODI, while Virat Kohli scored an inning of 113 runs.

Virat Kohli completed this century in 80 balls and stayed at the crease till the last over. Virat Kohli scored a total of 113 runs in his innings, during which he played 87 balls. In his innings, Virat Kohli hit 12 fours and 1 six, scoring runs at a strike rate of around 130. The special thing is that Virat scored the same number of runs in his last innings as well. The Indian cricket team has made a new world record in One Day International cricket. The Indian team has achieved this feat against Sri Lanka. Team India has scored more than 350 in One Day International cricket against Sri Lanka for a record 9th time. India has surpassed Australia in this case, which they made against India.

This is Virat Kohli’s second consecutive century in ODIs. Earlier on December 10, Virat Kohli scored an inning of 113 runs against Bangladesh, in this match Ishaan Kishan scored a double century. That is, within a month, Virat Kohli has scored two centuries in ODI cricket. Team India is preparing for the ODI World Cup 2023 and in that sense Virat Kohli’s coming in form is a great sign.

Virat Kohli has made many records with this innings. This is Virat Kohli’s 9th ODI century against Sri Lanka, while it is his 20th century on home soil. With this, he has also equaled Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 20 centuries.

Batting first, the Indian team scored 373 runs losing 7 wickets. Apart from Virat Kohli’s century, captain Rohit Sharma scored 83 runs, Shubman Gill scored 70 runs. The World Cup is to be held this year, in such a situation, the mission of Team India has started brilliantly.
