Korean delegation discusses future scope of developing Buddhist circuit in Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow: A brief description of the departmental work was presented to eight Korean delegates through a power point presentation related to Uttar Pradesh tourism in the auditorium of Paryatan Bhawan, Lucknow .
Special Secretary Tourism, Director Tourism and senior officials of the department have participated in this programme. In this program, views were put forth by officials of Korea’s Foreign Affairs, Culture, Art, Wellness Tourism, Budget, International Commissioner etc.
On this occasion, all the officers participating in the program were welcomed by the Special Secretary and Director Tourism and best wishes for a bright future by providing departmental literature/souvenir as a gift.
During this, the development works to be done in the Buddhist circuit of the state were discussed by the Special Secretary and Director Tourism and a power point presentation based on investment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh tourism was given, in which land available for investment, Tourism Policy-2022 and PPP model. A presentation was given to the visiting officers on the residential units being given on lease etc.
Officials of Uttar Pradesh Tourism were invited by the Korean delegates for the “International Wellness Conclave” to be held in Korea in September, 2023. Also, Korean delegates were invited by the officials of Tourism Department, Uttar Pradesh for “Deepotsav-2023, Ayodhya”.
The officers participating in the above program thanked each other and assured to provide all possible cooperation in future and to provide new direction and speed to the department.
