Lucknow: The Chief Minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath launched an anti-land mafia campaign for the poor, weak taking action against illegal encroachers on gram panchayats, urban lands and public properties, forming an Anti Land Mafia Task Force in the entire state.
In order to take effective action against illegal encroachments on public properties in the state, four tier-state, mandal, district and tehsil level anti-land mafia task force has been constituted by May 1, 2017.
Anti land mafia portal has been developed in the state to register complaints related to illegal occupation online and to monitor the action taken effectively, in which legal action has been taken by taking due action on the registered complaints. A total of 302555 complaints related to illegal occupation have been received on Anti Land Mafia Portal in the state, out of which 300961 complaints have been resolved and 1594 complaints are under process for disposal. A total area of 62423.89 hectares has been freed from illegal encroachment under the anti-land mafia campaign launched in the state.
Under this campaign, 22992 revenue cases, 857 civil cases and 4407 FIRs have been registered in the state. 2464 encroachers have been identified as land mafia, currently 187 land mafia are detained in jail. 879 against encroachers under Indian Penal Code, 240 against Criminal Procedure Code, 04 against National Security Act, 68 under Gangster Act, 304 against Goonda Act and 2805 against other sections.
Action has been taken under The general public including the poor, weak, women with real ownership are very happy with this campaign launched by the Chief Minister of the state against land mafia. The people of the society including the victims are praising the government for the strict legal action taken against the land mafia.
