Lucknow: On the fourth day of the ongoing Uttarakhand Mahotsav at the Gomti banks the Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant Mountain Cultural Park came alive with festivities. The poets who came to the Kavi Sammelan enthralled the audience by reciting their compositions and poems beautifully. They raised many questions on the social scene.
There was a huge crowd at the festival site on Saturday, all the stalls were full, products are available in them and some such products, which are not usually available in the local market, but are available only in this festival.
The shopkeepers were excited and the visitors are also happy with the huge shopping crowd. Media in-charge Rajendra Singh Kanwal said the sale of Bal Mithai of Uttarakhand is also increasing, first of all it was made in Almora, now it is made in almost all places in Uttarakhand. By roasting the khoya and adorning it with white grains are planted there are also grains of Ram dana.
Udhanchal Kala Kendra Almora’s artists gave their presentation by roaming around. All the poets who came to the Kavi Sammelan were honored and felicitated in the traditional manner and made them sit on the stage.
Budding poet Girish Chandra Upadhyay recited a poem on a topic – Tujhe thoda sa pyaar kya diya, jo tu bada aatraya hai.
Poet Priyanka Bisht prayed for the long life of her parents with a soulful poem – Paiso ka khel hai nirala zindagi hui ab gadbaljhala and God bless parents.
Poet Radha Bisht conveyed the message of Mehndi through the recitation of the poem ‘Ishwar ne chand banaye hai’ and ‘Mehndi par mehndi deti kya sandesh’.
Folk poet Shiromani Pant – Ride on the mountain road presented tremendous humor describing the bad condition of the mountain roads in the road-stuck roads.
Gokul Upreti – Kumaoni wrote a Kumaoni poem Ratai Uth Bair Garam Pani on the food and drink of the lockdown and explained the condition of the lockdown.
Poet Harish Upadhyay – Song on wife – O tanu shri ija, jes jes age badi, tas tas fauri reichai poetry se gudgudaya.
Dr. Karuna Pandey recited a beautiful poem on the importance of words – Poetry cannot tell you the truth of its life and songs are first bathed with pain, then feelings are sung by making songs.
Puran Singh Jeena – After many years, the feeling of a woman going to her mother’s home, by weaving words into the poem, O Drevra Dadi Gaadi Chala Dio Holee Holee, described the love of her mother through poetry.
Poet Girish Bahuguna – Kumaon Poem Barah Pate Ki Ghaghari Hunchi Ranglo Pichhod. Navath of four tolas. Told about old jewelry and clothes.
Poet Manmohan Barakoti – Tamacha Lucknowi – The edge of the pen is sharper than the sword Through the medium of Muktak, he got the juice of his poetry full of enthusiasm.
Narayan Pathak sang the life story of Golu Dev by singing Kumaon Golju – Kooncho ho Pahada Jai Jai Bala Goriya in his poetry recitation.
Kavi Sammelan President Dhan Singh Mehta Anjaan wrote a beautiful poem on the complaint of a female fetus in a messenger speech – Inja macke pyar dai, jeune runak adhikar dai, aan makke bhyaar dai, dekhne yeh sansar dai, complaint of a female fetus growing in the womb. Gave a beautiful message in very emotional and painful words.
Literary figures and former editor (Hindustan) Naveen Joshi was awarded Uttarakhand Sahitya Prahari 2022 by the Uttarakhand General Council. Naveen Joshi said in his address that in my opinion budding young litterateurs etc. should be honoured. This will boost their morale. Being honored among my community gives double happiness and thanked me for giving me the first Uttarakhand Sahitya Prahari 2022 award.
Present among the august gathering were Nirmala Pant Director Cancer Institute, Dr. Govind Pant Raju senior journalist and mountaineer KC Joshi, Diwan Singh Adhikari, Bharat Singh Bisht Ram Kishore Bajpai, Utkarsh Bajpai along with chief guest Kiran Kumar Thapliyal.
R Surendra Rajeshwari enthralled the audience by singing famous songs of Uttarakhand. Yash Music Group Ayodhya performed Kevat Prasang under the leadership of Sangeeta Ahuja whose lyrics are Hamre Ram ji utrihai Ganga par o Ganga maiya dheere baho. It got a lot of applause by giving a devotional presentation.
