LMA organizes an interactive session on the subject Attraction to Distraction

Lucknow: Lucknow Management Association organized an interactive session on “Attraction to Distraction.” The session was held  in LMA conference Hall with the Speaker Dr. Manju Agarwal, Dean of Student Welfare and Prof. of Psychology at Amity University, Dr. Agarwal is the Founder of Mind Spa, she was in conversation with  Raj Smriti Director Folk Tales.

This session was extremely relevant and contemporary. Dr.Manju Agarwal talked about the attraction to social media, video games, etc and how they distract particularly the new millennium generation. Dr Manju Agrawal, a professor of psychology, a hypnotherapist, founder of Mind Spa, and Dean of Student Welfare at Amity University, began the session with interacting with the audience and students particularly to bring to the forum for the understanding of everybody how youth and even adults are involved and addicted to social media, video games etc. and what kind of challenges they are facing in the day today routine as well as attainment of goals.

After this self realisation exercise, she shared some researches on the issue. And finally she shared some techniques to deal with social media addiction. The techniques included the technique of ho’oponopono, emotional freedom technique and journaling for thoughts, feelings, beliefs and actions.

In this session there was a question answer round also between Students and Parents and they put up the question.

Dr. Manju Agarwal spoke about the concept of “Mindfulness Lab” or “Meditation Lab” or “Happy Thinking Lab” established at the University of Lucknow which she claimed is the need of the Hour and should be replicated in every other organization and educational institutes, corporate offices etc.
