Lucknow: As you know, LMA is happy to announce the AIMA-LMA programme called Chanakya. It is a high impact Management Game/workshop also known as Aligning Managers based on Business Simulation concept.
Management Games are simulations where participants are confronted with business issues. They are asked to take management decisions and see the business effect of such decisions, soon thereafter. Participants play to win, and in seeking to win, they imbibe new forms of competitive behavior that are ideal for today’s highly chaotic business conditions. The competition urges participants to learn willingly, and the in-built interactivity enhances the pace of learning. The frustration and excitement of managing a company from top downwards ensures that the learning elements are retained with the participants longer. Conflicting situations will compel participants to take decisions, under predetermined rules of behavior. These situations closely resemble business events and are indistinguishable from real life events.
This is a program for Management Students and Business Executives organized by AIMA and LMA every year. The game is played by teams comprising four members each. The game involves decision making for a virtual company with focus on some performance indicators. The game administrator gives a briefing explaining things like decision making time, business situation, constraints and context and provides a document giving various details. Based on the responses of the teams and their evaluation, winners are identified and awarded trophies.
15 Teams participated from different institutions and corporate like SMS, GCRG, JAIPURIA, LUMBA, HDFC, RELIANCE, and TATA MOTORS. The game administrator from AIMA Mr S.C. Tyagi gives briefing explaining things like decision-making time, business situation, constraints, and context and provides a document giving various details. Based on the responses of the teams and their evaluation, winners are identified and awarded trophies.
The participants will have a realistic and enjoyable learning experience, where they will actually manage a multi-million company and will be sensitized to strategy, decision-making, and teamwork, all of these being the keys to corporate success.
Chanakya is recognized to be the fastest and most cost-effective set of techniques to train large numbers of participants. It is a mini-MBA programme conducted across 2 days. AIMA has till now conducted it for over 25,000 participants in 350 corporates and 175 Management Schools, across the country.
