Logo of National Climate Conclave 2023 unveiled
Lucknow: As a pre-event of the National Climate Conclave-2023 to be held at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on 10th and 11th April, 2023, the ‘logo’ of the National Climate Conclave was unveiled by Forest Minister (Independent Charge) Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena at Parijat Hall.
On the occasion of logo unveiling, Additional Secretary Forest, Environment and Climate Change Department, Government of India, Additional Chief Secretary Forest, Environment and Climate Change, UP, Head of Forest Department, Secretary Environment UP and representatives of various organizations related to the event were mainly present.
In order to reduce the impact of climate change and increasing carbon in the environment, the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department has organized the Uttar Pradesh Climate Change Conclave in 2021 and the Conference of Panchayats in the year 2022.
It was informed by the Forest Minister in the press conference that the National Climate Conclave-2023 is being organized jointly by the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate, Uttar Pradesh and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate, Government of India.
This conclave will prove to be a milestone in the field of climate change and environmental cleanliness. Prime Minister is sensitive towards environment and climate and work is being done by various states on his instructions in the direction of environmental protection.
Ministers/senior officials of Environment and Climate Change Department of 17 states are participating in this conclave. He said it is a matter of joy that the figure of the number of tigers in Karnataka has been released by the Honorable Prime Minister, in which 75 percent of the world’s tiger population is in India. This also shows India’s good position in environment and ecological balance.
Additional Chief Secretary, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department Manoj Singh said that this conclave is not just an ideological seminar, but it is such a mega event in which the local impact of this global problem and its adaptation and mitigation will be discussed among environmentalists, subjects.
It is an opportunity for experts and policy planners to share their experiences and knowledge and effectively deal with climate change. A total of more than 80 subject experts and eminent speakers, more than 100 educationists and researchers, more than 100 civil service organizations and more than 50 policy planners will participate in this two-day conclave.
Additional Secretary, Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India, while discussing the work being done by the Government of India for climate change and environment promotion, appreciated the work being done by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in this field and rewarded them for their good work. Congratulations on leaving.
Head of Forest Department Mamta Sanjeev Dubey said that in the inaugural session of the conclave, the climate change action plan of Uttar Pradesh state will be released by Chief Minister UP and Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India and the amount of carbon emitted from the preparation till the conclusion of the conclave will be released.
Planting of 75 thousand plants will be done in addition to the plantation plan of the department for the absorption of emitted carbon after estimating the quantity by the experts.
