Lucknow: Lok Bandhu Hospital has become the third largest government hospital in the state capital after Balrampur and Civil Hospital. Here the admission of patients has started on 318 beds. Special Neonatal Care Unit (SNCU), Emergency, ICU, Delivery, Bone, Eye, Medicine, Surgery facility for newborns is available.
All operations, big and small, have started. Along with 16 beds in emergency, a four-bed ICU has also started in the emergency of serious patients. With the increase in facilities, the number of patients in OPD has increased from one to two thousand. More than six lakh people of Kanpur Road, Sarojininagar, Alambagh, Krishnanagar, Ashiana and Telibagh have got a big relief.
Dr. Ajay Shankar Tripathi, Medical Superintendent of Lok Bandhu Hospital, says that before Covid, only 100 beds were being admitted here. In April 2020, when the cases of corona increased, infected patients were admitted to 300 beds here. When the third wave subsides, the recruitment of general patients has started on all the beds.
Dr. Ajay Shankar Tripathi explains that the hospital has separate wards and operation theaters for pregnant women and newborns. OPDs of eye, bone, medicine, surgery, gynecological, dental, ayurvedic, homeopath, pediatric doctors are operating.
According to Dr. Tripathi, there is pathology in the hospital. All the tests related to cancer, liver, kidney to blood and urine are being done here. Apart from this, there is ultrasound, X-ray, ECG. City scan machine is being installed.
The hospital has an emergency OT, eye, bone, surgery (Hornia, Gallbladder, Hydrocele) and two operation theaters for delivery of women. Oxygen generator is also ready here. Now there will be no shortage of oxygen for critical patients in the hospital.
