LU aims at creating responsible and professional citizens: Prof Alok Kumar Rai

Lucknow: LU Vice Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai inaugurated the two-day Dr. Abdul Kalam Technical, Literary and Management Fest at Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University . Various games were organized on the first day. in which the students took part. While addressing the inaugural session, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai said that this program would provide a highly recognized platform to the students to showcase their multidisciplinary talents and skills apart from academics.

He congratulated the organizing team for their multifaceted roles in hosting the event. He said that the university is not only a place of transformation from knowledge for them, but also aims at creating responsible and professional citizens who can contribute to nation building. Our contribution in IT and engineering has been immense but it is a matter of concern whether we are only coding and working as contractors to big firms.

We have to realize our potential and make the dream of Make in India come true. He further said that there is a need to develop excellent products. Events like Tech Fest are a great platform for young talents to showcase their talents.

On this occasion Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Manish Gaur while welcoming said that at AKTU we believe in transforming young minds into skilled and confident engineers and managers and to achieve this the annual Technical, Literary and Management Fest is organized. Brief light on the two-day program was thrown by the program coordinator Dr. Anuj Kumar Sharma. And the vote of thanks was given by Maheep Singh, Head of Innovation Hub. On this occasion, Deputy Registrar Dr. RK Singh, Prof. BN Mishra and others were present.

Several competitions were organized on the first day of the fest. While the participants showed their skills in drone flying, they also showed their skills in Robo Race, Jankwar Bridge Kriti. At the same time, cultural programs were also organized in the evening.

Various events will be held in two days

Various events will be held in this two-day fest. The seven technical events are Robo Race, Robo Wars, Drone Flying Challenge, Game of Codes, Bridge Craft, Innovative Exhibition and Junkyard War. While the management-related event will be conducted in two verticals, one on Business Plan Writing and the other on Risk Innovation and Entrepreneurship, there will be a specialization in four literary events.

Taking part in the competition, Regional Tech Fest was organized in eight zones of the first state level university. These include Agra, Prayagraj, Bareilly, Gautam Buddh Nagar, Ghaziabad, Gorakhpur, Meerut and Lucknow. 237 zonal winners and gold medalists of these competitions are participating in 13 competitions of the state level Techfest.

Enjoyed bajra khichdi

The United Nations has declared the year 2023 as the Year of Millets. People are being made aware to include coarse grains prominently in the diet. Keeping this in mind, Honorable Vice-Chancellor Prof. Alok Kumar Rai has instructed to include dishes made of coarse grains during this two-day program. On the first day, the khichdi made of millet was liked by the participants.
