LU to publish Coffee Table book on Alumni
Lucknow: Lucknow University is going to publish a coffee table book in honour of its alumni on its 103rd Foundation Day. Details of those alumni of the university will be published in this coffee table book. Who brought glory to the country at the national and international level in other fields including literature, music, art, science and sports.
Vice Chancellor of Lucknow University, Prof. Alok Kumar Rai said that this coffee table book is an initiative to show respect to our alumni. Our relationship and affinity towards the alumni of the university remains unbreakable and we are trying to make this relationship even stronger, so that the association of our alumni remains continuous with this university.
Our alumni, who have now achieved success in various walks of life, have adopted the ideals of Lucknow University and the core values of education. His success and his inspiration can be an important motivational guidance for the current students.
Although officially studies in Lucknow University started from July 17, 1921, but much before that, the flame of higher education in Lucknow had been awakened in the form of Canning College. Among India’s best awards, students from here have received 2 Padma Vibhushan, 4 Padma Bhushan, and 19 Padma Shri awards as well as B.C. Roy and Shantiswarup Bhatnagar Awards. Dean Academic Prof. Geetanjali Mishra said that while the personalities collected in this coffee table book will inspire the current students to improve their future, on the other hand they will also feel proud that they are the bearers of the great tradition of education and knowledge.
