Lucknow Divisional Commissioner calls for regulating public transport parking
Lucknow: The important meeting of the Divisional Transport Authority (RTA) under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob was held in the Commissioner Auditorium. Necessary directions were given to the concerned officers in the meeting. On this occasion, Additional Commissioner Administration Ranvijay Yadav, Additional District Officer Amit Kumar, Deputy Commissioner Transport Surendra Kumar, Divisional Transport Officer R.P. Dwivedi, ARTO and concerned officers were present.
The Divisional Commissioner said that on the basis of the list provided by the police of tempo/taxi repeatedly standing at the intersections, issued notices to the tempo/taxi and directed to cancel their license permit.
She said that color coding of tempo/taxi plying in the city area should be fixed. Instructed to make the parking places identified by the Municipal Corporation operational so that tempo/taxi can stand.
She said that buses should be dropped and parked at a distance of 200 meters from the intersection. She said that yellow strip and white strip should be made for parking of e-rickshaws running in the city so that e-rickshaws can park.
Passengers will not be allowed to park any vehicle at the intersection. She said that funds have been allocated for the works being done by PWD. Signage boards to be installed by PWD should be of quality.
