Lucknow Divisional Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob inspects Nutrition Rehabilitation Center
Lucknow: Divisional Commissioner Dr. Roshan Jacob made a surprise inspection of the Nutrition Rehabilitation Center at Balrampur Hospital and interacted with the parents of malnourished children, obtaining information about their health and gave necessary guidelines to the concerned doctor.
During the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner also observed the nutritious food chart given to the malnourished children according to the chart. Instructing the concerned officers, she said that nutritious food should be given priority and quality in the diet chart be ensured. While communicating with the parents of the malnourished children, she got information that there is no problem of any kind and the children are growing well. The mother of the malnourished child said that the atmosphere here is like home, there is no problem of any kind.
The Divisional Commissioner obtained information that what food items are being given to the children in the nutritional diet. It was told by the concerned officer that according to the chart, all nutritious food is being given in the prescribed quantity, during the inspection on the spot 7 Malnourished children were admitted and improvement in the health of all the children was noted.
After the inspection, the Divisional Commissioner gave instructions to the concerned doctors that at the time of discharge of the children, after making aware the mother/guardian of the concerned child, a chart should be prepared and given to the guardian of the child. She directed the concerned officials to organize camps in the village to identify malnourished children and make their parents aware.
