Lucknow DM aims restructuring car parking anomalies
Lucknow: No vehicle can be parked for 15 consecutive days in any multi-level parking in the capital of Uttar Pradesh. A list of all such vehicles parked in the parking lots should be made and sent to the dumping yard of the Municipal Corporation.
DM Suryapal Gangwar issued an order in this regard after a surprise inspection in and around Kaiserbagh. According to the order, vehicles standing continuously will be removed every 15 days and the parking will be cleaned.
In surprise inspection, dozens of vehicles were found in the multi-level parking at Kaiserbagh Bus Stand which were parked here 15 days back but after that they were not removed even once.
Only after this, the DM issued a new order for all the multi-level parking lots in Lucknow. Now Municipal Corporation and LDA will start survey and action in these parking lots at their level.
The DM, who arrived to inspect the Khayaliganj pumping station and sewer line, found broken sewer pipelines at some places. On this, the DM instructed the officers that under no circumstances should pipes of poor quality be used. In case of irregularities in the investigation, the responsibility of the officers will be fixed by filing an FIR against the executive body.
Unclaimed vehicles from road to parking
During inspection in and around Kaiserbagh, apart from parking, abandoned vehicles were also found on the road at various places. The DM directed that the owners of such vehicles should be called and asked to remove them. After this, if it is not removed in two days, then it should be sent to the dumping yard. Fines will also be imposed on such vehicle owners. On Latush Road, many shopkeepers have surrounded their shops by keeping goods outside.
The DM also directed such shopkeepers to remove encroachments. During the inspection, vehicles were also found on the road in front of Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India and ICICI Bank. All were directed to issue notices.
