Lucknow DM Surya Pal Gangwar does a recce of Chhath Puja site as festivities near

Lucknow: Due to Chhath Puja, District Magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar inspected the Chhath Puja site located at Laxman Mela Ground. He took stock of all the preparations. The work of cleaning the Gomti river is being done by the Municipal Corporation. Whereas the LDA has completed the repair work of ghat and stairs etc. The DM also saw these works.

The DM directed to strictly follow the Covid-19 protocol at the ghats. The DM asked for the immediate improvement of the cleanliness system and the arrangement of street lighting, highmask, parking, ramp etc. The Municipal Corporation was instructed to sprinkle water so that the dust does not all over on the ghats. They have also been asked to make arrangements for boats and divers in sufficient quantity at the ghats so that any emergent situation can be dealt with. There will also be an arrangement for an ambulance.
