Lucknow Khaki acts at the nick of time in the infamous Anandi Mata temple case
Lucknow: The incident of theft in ancient and famous Anandi Mata temple has been cracked by Chowk Police falling under the Lucknow Police Commissionerate within 4 days.
On October 11, a complaint was registered by Utkarsh Agrawal son Prakash resident Kothi Khunkhun Ji Road Chowk Lucknow at Thana Chowk that last night an incident of theft took place in Anandi Mata temple located at Chowk.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Chiranjeev Nath Sinha along with Assistant Commissioner of Police IP Singh inspected the incident and constituted 10 teams to unveil the incident and questioned the suspects who came to light on the basis of CCTV footage located around the spot.
Through the CCTV footage around the spot, a suspect was seen roaming around the temple and at around 3:00 am on the night of the incident, he was seen going from the verandah of the temple on a motorcycle with a tank and some items held between his legs. On the basis of the confirmation of the residence of this suspect, immediately a team was sent to Mahmudabad, Sitapur under the supervision of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Chowk.
The identity of the person was Pradeep Kumar alias Kalia, son Chetram alias Chaudh. All the stolen items were recovered in the temple as RI Niwas Dudhsena police station Mahmudabad. After the revelation of this incident and the people around the square expressed happiness with the recovery of the goods, the team led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Western Dr. S. Chanappa was announced to be rewarded with a cash prize of ₹ 10000.
