Lucknow Metro celebrates the power of the Mother
Lucknow: Lucknow Metro today celebrated Mother’s Day with joy and glee at Hazratganj Metro Station. On this occasion, Lucknow Metro in association with ICICI Bank honoured the mothers by presenting gifts. The faces of the mothers bloomed after seeing the dance and poems of small children.
Apart from this, an adorable ‘Kathak’ dance performance was also organized by Ms. Pranika Bhatt at the station, which was highly appreciated by the passengers.
Lucknow Metro also organized a two-day Mother’s Day Carnival from May 13 to 14 at Hazratganj Metro Station. Women and mothers associated with self-help groups and NGOs have been given a priority in the carnival. On the last day of Mother’s Day Carnival, people came to celebrate Mother’s Day bought handmade products such as jute bags, jewellery, home decor items etc. in the stalls at the station.
Speaking on the occasion, Sushil Kumar, Managing Director, UPMRC said that UPMRC has been organizing carnival in the past at different occasions. At Lucknow Metro, we offer various opportunities to small traders and provide them a platform to promote their businesses.
Mother’s Day being such special occasion and to honour the spirit of motherhood we organized different programs. He further said All mothers in this world are excellent managers. I salute their will power which constantly motivates them to achieve their goals. Lucknow Metro will keep on supporting these women entrepreneurs for their positive endeavours directed towards accomplishing new heights.
