The passenger thanked the Lost and Found Cell of Lucknow Metro
Lucknow: Lucknow Metro’s well-planned security system has once again set an example of extremely safe passenger service. Lucknow Metro’s much talked about Lost and Found Cell safely returned the bag comprising Rs 2.5 lakh to a passenger.
A passenger forgot his bag containing Rs 2.5 lakh in the scanning machine while traveling from Hazratganj to Charbagh metro station. As soon as he saw the unclaimed bag in the baggage scanning machine, the security personnel posted there informed the station controller. The station controller immediately announced the news of the bag being left at the station. The passengers were waiting for the train on the platform. As soon as they heard the announcement, the passengers reached the station control room where their bag full of money was returned to them safely after investigation.
Lucknow Metro’s Lost and Found Cell has safely returned around 33 lakh cash, 155 laptops and more than 615 mobile phones to passengers since the inception of services.
Shri Sushil Kumar, Managing Director, UPMRC praised the promptness of the Metro staff and Metro security personnel. He said that Lucknow Metro’s hi-tech technology and high resolution PTG security cameras have proven effective in tracking lost children and belongings in the past. There are 60 to 70 CCTV cameras at every station of Lucknow Metro. Besides this, 24 CCTV cameras have been installed inside the metro train. These cameras maintain security surveillance of every nook and corner of the metro system.
