Lucknow Metro Safely Returns Rs 1,80,000 cash to the commuter

Lucknow: UPMRC’s lost & found cell again has set an example of honesty & integrity by returning safely Rs 1,80,000 cash to the passenger.

Since the commencement of Lucknow metro services on 5th September, 2017, a total of Rs19,95,090 cash, 109 laptops, 537 mobiles have been returned safely by the lost and found cell to the passengers till date.

At around 10:30 am a couple was travelling from Charbagh to Singar Nagar metro station. While deboarding at Singar Nagar metro station, the couple forgot their bag containing Rs 1,80,000 cash on the train seat itself. The bag was found by the security personnel while checking the train at the terminal metro station ie. CCS Airport metro station. The security personnel submitted and safely handed over the bag to the Station Controller. When the couple reached the metro station looking for their lost bag, they were handed over the bag after completing verification and other official formalities.

Sushil Kumar, MD, UPMRC while appreciating the efforts of Lucknow Metro’s lost & found cell said, “Lucknow Metro is safer, comfortable and secure mode of public transit than any other public transport. We will continue to strive hard to provide the best passenger service to the people of Lucknow.”
