Lucknow: Today alert & vigil staff of Lucknow Metro, once again set an example of integrity and honesty, returning Rs 11000 left behind by the passenger at the CCS metro station. In this way, UP Metro has safely returned about Rs 14 lakh cash, 500 mobiles and 93 laptops to the passengers since the inception of the services under its lost and found policy.
On 31st August, 2022, Amitabh Agrawal, a resident of Jajmau, Kanpur, reached CCs Airport Metro station by Lucknow Metro. While coming down the stairs at the station, 22 notes of Rs 500 denomination i.e. a total of Rs 11,000 fell from his pocket. During the security check & frisking at the station, the security personnel deployed noticed the currency and immediately deposited it to the on-duty Station Controller. When the passenger, Amitabh Agarwal reached the concerned station searching for his lost money, the cash was handed over to him after completing verification and other official formalities. Upon receiving his cash, the passenger expressed his gratitude for the honesty and integrity of the metro staff. On similar lines, Kanpur Metro has been returning the lost luggage safely to the passengers under the Lost & Found policy.
Sushil Kumar, MD, UPMRC, while appreciating the efforts of the metro staff said that Metro not only ensures a safe and comfortable journey of the commuters but also provides a complete security check of their luggage. He emphasized that the Metro is committed to have the highest standard of work culture & ethics along with being the safest and most convenient mode of travel. Since the inception of commercial services of UP Metro, Lost and Found Cell of Lucknow Metro had returned around Rs 14,00,000 cash, 500 mobile phones, 93 laptops and other valuables to its rightful owners.
