Lucknow on high alert with agitation against Agnipath scheme rising

Lucknow: An alert has also been issued  regarding the ongoing protests in many cities of the state against the Agneepath scheme. Under the direction of Police Commissioner DK Thakur, the vigil of the police force has been increased around the railway, bus stand, coaching centers and stadium. JCP Law and Order Piyush Mordia said that police force has been deployed around Charbagh bus and railway stand.

At the same time, apart from coaching centers, such places where there is movement of youth. Police force is being deployed there too. Strict instructions have been given to the DCP, ADCP, ACP and all the station in-charges of the five zones in view of the security.

Along with this, in whose areas there are coaching centers, the concerned officers will go there and explain to the youth, students. Along with this, the police is also in touch with the coaching operators.

It is also the responsibility of the operators that the students studying here should not create any kind of nuisance. If students try to protest, then immediately inform the police. Along with this, instructions are being given that if anyone tries to vandalize government property or create any kind of anarchy, then strict action will be taken.

With regards to increased security at city limits and railway tracks the JCP said that an alert has also been issued at the police stations adjacent to the city limits. Strict arrangements have been made for checking there. Apart from this, the IG Lucknow range has also been talked about. Police patrolling has been increased in the outer rural areas and around the railway track. For this, the Railway Police has also been activated. Violence of any kind will not be tolerated.
