Lucknow: Policemen are often misunderstood as brash, they are often feared by the people for their tough demeanour. However today the police establishment has proven its onscreen avatar wrong and has emerged as a force to reckon with, by helping people with a certain courteous approach to handling things. It is also ensuring that crime is cracked in the nick of time.
After the major heist at the Jugal Kishore Jewellers outlet was cracked open and success was met in nabbing the culprits, the Commissioner of Police and a massive 51-member police team have not just been lauded for their efforts but they have been conferred with the Shatrughan Samman at a hotel in the state capital.
The award was given jointly by Lucknow Sarafa Association and Lucknow Business Board. Among the top brass of the police were Commissioner of Police, DK Thakur, JCP Naveen Arora, JCP Nilabh Chaudhary, DCP Devesh Pandey, ADCP Rajesh Srivastava and associate police personnel who were offered a shawl, a garland and Shatrughan Samman and a Veer Hanuman Momento.
On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh Sarafa Association state president Kailash Chand Jain said that the Lucknow Police has won the hearts of bullion traders by solving the theft incident of Jugal Kishor Jewellers in 36 hours. He said that till date there was no 100 per cent seizure in any incident. Senior General Secretary Amarnath Mishra said that whenever we have given time to the police for the revelation of the incident, the incident is definitely revealed. He said that Shatrughan Samman is given every year by the Lucknow Business Board for outstanding work. Rajan Rastogi, the owner of the Jugal Kishore firm, Pradeep Aggarwal, General Secretary of the Sarafa Association thanked everyone.
