Lucknow Zoo witnesses cultural connect event under the Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav initiative

Lucknow: Government of India Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and Central in accordance with the instructions received by the Zoo Authority, “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” was observed from 30th May to 05th June, 2022. The event was titled  ‘Protection for co-existence: to the public’

Adding to the theme various programs  by Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden, Lucknow were organized.
The Closing program was organized in Auditorium whose chief guest was  Sanjay Singh, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Wildlife (Retd).

But the officers / employees of the zoological park and the winning participants were present. Director, Zoological Gardens, Chief Guest and Winners of Participants were present.

Inaugurating the  Program were Dr. Arun Kumar Saxena, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Forest and Environment, Zoological Park and Climate Change Department, Uttar Pradesh and  K.P. Malik, Hon’ble Minister of State, Forest and Environment, Animal Parks and Climate Parivartan Department, Uttar Pradesh. They flagged off a  cycle rally. The Director, Zoological Gardens, organized various programs for the whole week.

He said that all the work order should be done by the general public. Director, Zoological Gardens greeted everyone on the occasion of World Environment Day. He said that  all of us should take the responsibility of protecting the environment.
He said everyone  must plant at least one sapling.

Referring to biomagnification, chemicals in cereals and vegetables, fruits etc. produced from crops, grain by using fertilizers and insecticides and their quantity is increasing in fruits and vegetables, which is a matter of concern.
He pointed out it is necessary that organic farming should be promoted.

And the use of insecticidal medicine  should be done at least.
Chief Guest Shri Sanjay Singh, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Wildlife (Retired) celebrated World Environment Day and Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.

A cultural program based on environment by Lokanjali Group. A subtle drama was also staged, which was appreciated by all.
The winners of various competitions were presented by the chief guest.

Lastly, Dr. Utkarsh Shukla, Deputy Director, Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Udyan, Lucknow thanked the chief guest and the winning participants designated. The program was hosted by Neena Kumar, Education Officer, Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Park, Lucknow.
