Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Board has also canceled the class 10 and 12 exams. State’s Minority Welfare Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ has given this direction. Minister Nandi tweeted and informed that in view of the extraordinary circumstances arising due to Covid-19, in order to regularize the education session in the interest of the students, like the Department of Basic Education and the Department of Secondary Education, the academic session in madrasas and schools run by the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Council has been cancelled for class-10 and class-12 board exams for 2020-21.
In order to regularize the session, on the lines of Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department and Secondary Education Department, the board examination of class 10 and 12 for the academic session 2020-21 in recognized / state-aided madrasas / schools run by the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Council the exams stand cancelled and the students are to be promoted among classes 1 to 8 and class 9 and 11 to the next class. In this regard, compliance of government orders issued from time to time by the Department of Basic Education and Department of Secondary Education will be ensured.
The minister also said that in the board examinations of the proposed academic session 2020 by the Uttar Pradesh Madrasa Education Council, the process and grounds for preparing the results of the registered students of class 10 and class 12 in the board examinations and for recording the result marks separately. Orders will be issued.
Earlier, the 2021 examinations of college students in Uttar Pradesh have been cancelled after the cancellation of 10th and 12th board examinations of Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education. The state government has decided to promote around 30 lakh undergraduate and postgraduate students.
