Lucknow: On the birth anniversary of the great ruler and mighty warrior Maharaja Suheldev Rajbhar of 11th century, Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia, along with the municipal team, garlanded the statue of Maharaja Suheldev at Lalbagh and paid homage to him.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Sanyukta Bhatia said that it is a matter of pride for us that Maharaja Suheldev was born in India. Maharaja Suheldev Rajbhar a true patriot considered protection of Indian religion, society, civilization and culture as his ultimate duty. Suheldev never compromised on the national identity.
Finally concluding, she said that this is the second example after Mahabharata when the nationalist hero Maharaja Suheldev Rajbhar collected 21 kings to protect the nation and led his army. On this occasion, Vice President of Municipal Corporation Rajneesh Gupta, Councilor Kaushalendra Dwivedi, Councillor Rupali Gupta, Councilor Raghav Ram Tiwari, Municipal Commissioner Ajay Kumar Dwivedi, Additional Municipal Commissioner Shri Rakesh Yadav, Kishori Lal along with other councilors and municipal corporation employees were present.
