Lucknow: As COVID numbers skyrocket in the city of Lucknow and across the state, the Municipal Corporation has launched a massive sanitization campaign to ensure maximum safety of the citizens cutting down the COVID issues.
With greater COVID transmission, a special sanitization campaign was conducted at all railway stations, bus stands, tempo stands and airport in the municipal area.
The initiative was started from Charbagh railway station in presence of Mandalayukta and Municipal Commissioner.
It is noteworthy that only recently the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath called for conducting a state-wide special sanitization campaign during the weekend lockdown.
Across 43 major municipalities in Uttar Pradesh there is a major plan to undertake sanitation activities. In Lucknow sanitation in 59 wards and over 300 slums was recently carried out.
As per Municipal Commissioner of Lucknow Ajay Kumar Dwivedi the campaign will cover 110 wards and 609 slums in two days time.
The city is likely to see sanitation of every lane and locality. People were sensitised about corona infection through the public address system.
The CM has asked to ensure proper masks, gloves and PPE kits for all front line workers as well as the payment of their salaries and dues on time.
