Mamata Banerjee ups ante against misuse of central agencies

Kolkata: The Mamata government took an important step against the central agencies. The Trinamool Congress (TMC) moved a resolution under Rule 185 in the Assembly against the alleged misuse of central agencies. This proposal was passed in the assembly. TMC is constantly attacking BJP regarding the raids of ED and CBI on opposition leaders. In the last few months, several TMC leaders have been nabbed by the central agencies in different cases.

Angered by the action of ED and CBI, TMC is accusing the central government of alleged misuse of agencies. Trinamool Congress has also demanded action against BJP leaders. The TMC on Sunday demanded that Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Legislative Assembly Shubhendu Adhikari and Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Vice President Dilip Ghosh also be brought under the scanner of central agencies for a fair probe into the School Service Commission (SSC) job scam.

Demanded action against BJP leaders in recruitment scam

Trinamool Congress state general secretary and spokesperson Kunal Ghosh had said that Adhikari, when he was with the TMC, was instrumental in providing jobs to over 100 persons as Group D employees in government and government-aided schools and included Many of them have been retrenched on the orders of the High Court. Opposing this, the BJP said that TMC is scared because the collusion of its leaders in the recruitment scam is coming to the fore every day.

This allegation was made on central agencies

The state general secretary of TMC had said that we want the whole truth to come out, we will cooperate with the investigating agencies and let the law take its course if anyone associated with TMC is found involved. He accused the central agencies of adopting ‘preferential treatment’ towards BJP leaders and said that if the investigation is covered in a wider scope, it will help in the investigation.
