Manoj Bajpayee’s Sirf Ek Banda Kaafi hai gets standing ovation at recent New York Indian Film Festival
Mumbai: National Award winning actor Manoj Bajpayee’s upcoming film ‘Sirf Ek Banda Kafi Hai’ received a standing ovation after its screening at the recent New York Indian Film Festival.
Manoj is particularly happy with the response he has received at the prestigious film festival. It is an overwhelming feeling to receive such an amazing response from the audience on an international platform. It gave me goosebumps when our film got a standing ovation at the New York Indian Film Festival. I am thankful to all.
The film shows that in a battle between the will of a common man and the might of a self-styled saint, the will always wins and no man is above the law. It depicts the battle of a rape survivor.
Director Apoorva Singh Karki said, “A film made with all the heart and hard work to convey an important message to the audience and garner appreciation is a humbling sentiment. I am glad that our efforts are getting the reward it deserves.
Presented by Zee Studios and Bhanushali Studios Limited, Suparn S. Verma’s courtroom drama ‘Sirf Ek Banda Kafii Hai’ is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Aasif Sheikh and Vishal Gurnani and co-produced by Juhi Parekh Mehta. The film is set to premiere on May 23, 2023 on ZEE5.
