Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the government has made a big change in the PWD department. According to the information received from administration, now Manoj Kumar Gupta has been made the head of this department. Till now Gupta was on the post of Chief Engineer in this department.
It is noteworthy that since the beginning of the second term of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in UP, such officers are being given the responsibility of the departments, who are expert in the work. The department, which has been looking for the head of the department for a long time, has got a new chairman in the form of Manoj Kumar Gupta. Manoj Kumar Gupta was earlier looking after the work of Chief Engineer. Manoj Kumar Gupta has experience of working in many positions in the department, now he has been appointed as the biggest chair of the department, Engineer in Chief, ie Head of the Department. While Gupta is a graduate of Harcourt Butler Technical University, Harkotians are witnessing a wave of happiness after this decision.
Manoj Kumar Gupta has served the Public Works Department for 38 years. Prior to this, he was working as Chief Engineer in Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEDA) for three years. Under his supervision, the construction work of Bundelkhand Expressway was given speedy pace by UPEDA. He has also been posted in NHAI on deputation as Project Director for five years.
Currently, the biggest task in front of Manoj Gupta is to make the roads of PWD pothole-free by June 30. Apart from this, the work of repairing the roads in the cities of Ayodhya, Vrindavan, Mathura, Kashi and other such religious places will be done by the PWD.
On the other hand, Minister of Public Works Department Jitin Prasada has instructed all the officers to work on the 100 days, 6 months and 2 years plan of the department, so that the changes are visible immediately.
