Mayawati in favour of current Parliament building inauguration plans
Lucknow: BSP chief Mayawati has come in favor of the central government regarding the inauguration of the new parliament building. She has said that BSP has always supported all the issues of public interest in the country whether it is Congress government or BJP.
Mayawati wrote through a tweet that whether it was the government of the Congress party at the Center before or now of the BJP, the BSP has always supported them by rising above party politics on issues related to the country and public interest, and on May 28, the Parliament building will be inaugurated, it welcomes this.
She further wrote that the boycott is unfair for not inaugurating the new Parliament by President Draupadi Murmu. The government has made it so it has the right to inaugurate it. It is also unfair to link this with tribal women’s respect. One should have thought of this while fielding a candidate against him instead of electing him unopposed.
BSP President Mayawati wrote that I have received the invitation for the program dedicated to the country, that is, the inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament House, for which I thank and extend my best wishes. But due to my pre-scheduled engagement regarding the continuous review meetings of the party, I will not be able to attend that function.
It may be noted that the opposition parties of the country have boycotted the program terming it unfair for the President not to inaugurate the new Parliament House.
