Mayawati says that casteist overtures are typical SP brand of politics
Lucknow: A case has been registered in connection with the slogan ‘Mile Mulayam Kanshi Ram, Jai Shri Ram has flown in the air’, raised in the presence of Akhilesh Yadav on behalf of Swami Prasad Maurya in Charuhar Jiayak of Unchahar in Rae Bareli district. At the same time, BSP supremo Mayawati has strongly attacked the Samajwadi Party regarding this matter.
In a tweet, Mayawati said that in the presence of the SP chief, the news of the SP leader being sued for raising the slogan ‘Mile Mulayam-Kanshi Ram, Hawa Mein Ud Gaye Jai Shri Ram’ is in headlines today. In fact, it has been the nature of SP to do politics of casteist hatred and unrestrained issues instead of development and public interest of UP.
He said that this fact has been regularly coming before the people that in the year 1993, Mr. Kanshi Ram formed the SP-BSP alliance with a missionary spirit, but despite Mulayam Singh Yadav becoming the CM of the alliance, his intention was not clear. By doing this, she wanted to defame the BSP and continue the Dalit oppression.
The BSP chief said that in this sequence, the slogans related to Ayodhya, Shriram temple and uppercaste society etc., which were publicized during that time, were mischievous and well-planned conspiracy of the SP to defame the BSP. Therefore, there is a dire need for the Dalits, OBCs and the Muslim community to be careful about such activities of the SP.
In fact, Swami Prasad had organized a public meeting at Charuhar Jiyayak in Unchahar. Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav also came in this. During this, Maurya raised slogans of ‘Mile Mulayam Kanshi Ram, Hawa Mein Ud Gaye Jai Shri Ram’ from the stage in front of Akhilesh Yadav. Not only this, Swami Prasad Maurya kept repeating this unlimited slogan to the people attending the gathering, whose video is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
