Megh Mandal Sansthan celebrates life of Raja Ravi Varma
New Delhi: Megh Mandal Sansthan and Lalit Kala Akademi organized the sixth edition of Chitranjali 2023 to celebrate the remarkable contribution of the first modern Indian artist Raja Ravi Varma. His Excellency Arif Mohammed Khan (Governor of Kerala) and G.C. Murmu (Comptroller and Auditor General of India) participated as the Chief Guest and Guest of Honor at Chitranjali 2023 held at Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi.
Chitranjali, a unique platform to pay tribute to one of the most accomplished painters and artists in Indian history, also honors contemporary artists from diverse backgrounds. This year, the country’s well-known artist Nawal Kishore has been honored with a special honor for a special series he has painted on Indian culture and Indian women.
Nawal Kishore said that he has been working continuously in the field of art since 1995. He has received his formal education from Art and Craft School, Lucknow. After getting education, he is working as an independent artist and is continuously showcasing his painting in the country and abroad. He has received awards from many government and non-government institutions. His works reflect positive thoughts as well as life and philosophy.
