Lucknow: The meeting of Global Investors Summit was organized under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra.
In his address, the Chief Secretary said that after conducting the international road show, a positive message has gone out towards Uttar Pradesh in the whole world. Along with the foreign investors, we also have to contact the investors of our country. An effective strategy should be prepared soon for the road shows to be held within the country. In order to establish contact with investors and solve their problems, investment cells must be formed in the concerned departments.
He said that a meeting with the investors must be held by the concerned departments by January 20. Such gap areas should be identified by the department, where maximum investment can be brought. Such a film should be prepared by the Information Department to be shown to the investors, so that maximum investment proposals can be received. The details of the policy should be written in simple language in the brochure being prepared by the department, so that there is no difficulty in understanding the investors.
He said that the success of the road shows abroad has ensured that the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit 2023 is going to be historic. Extensive investment will create a large number of employment opportunities, which will directly benefit our youth. The Global Investors Summit-2023 will become a major base in fulfilling the target of making the state an economy of 01 trillion dollars.
He said that companies/institutions, industrial groups with whom MOUs have been signed in foreign countries, should maintain constant contact with them. For the purpose of better follow-up, a senior officer may be designated as the nodal officer for each country.
He said that till a few years ago no such global investor invitation could be imagined in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh is moving towards development under the guidance of the Prime Minister and the leadership of the Chief Minister.
In the meeting, Commissioner for Infrastructure and Industrial Development Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary Housing and Urban Planning Nitin Ramesh Gokarn, Principal Secretary Medical Health and Family Welfare Parthasarathy Sen Sharma, Secretary Planning Alok Kumar and senior officers of various departments and officials of Deloitte India etc. were present.
