Mid Day Meal Authority to clear dues in right earnest
Lucknow: Students studying in primary schools in Uttar Pradesh will be paid last year’s mid-day meal dues. Under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Yojana, the payment of dues from March to August 2021 was ordered in February 2022, but now the Mid Day Meal Authority has released the funds.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Poshan Yojana (old Mid Day Meal Scheme), the arrears from March 2021 to August will be paid. An order was issued for this in February 2022, but now funds have been released for this.
In the order issued by Anamika Singh, Director, Mid-day Meal Authority, it has been said that Rs 636 will be given to the students of primary (classes one to five) and Rs 901 to the children of junior school (classes six to eight).
This amount is being given from March 24 to August 31. Funds will be given for 128 days to primary children and 121 days to junior students. Food security allowance for summer vacations has also been included in this.
Apart from the allowance, ration will also be given but, the ration will be given only for the closure of the school due to Covid-19. Primary school students are to be given 9.4 kg ration (3.2 kg wheat and 4.35 kg rice) for 94 days and 13.05 kg (4.35 kg wheat and 8.70 kg rice) for junior students.
According to the information received from the sources, the amount of this allowance will be monitored by the officers whether the parents have received the amount or not.
