Mini Kartavya Path in Lucknow lights up as city witnesses Republic Day parade

Indian Army’s armaments, march past, colorful cultural programs and tableaux etc included in the attractive parade of the Republic Day celebrations enthralled the audience.

Lucknow:  The 74th Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and dignity  in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Governor  Anandiben Patel took the salute of the parade in the main program of Republic Day organized in front of Vidhan Bhavan. Earlier, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath welcomed the Governor and extended his hearty greetings on Republic Day.

Indian Army’s ordinance, march past, colorful cultural programs and tableaux etc. participated in the attractive parade of the Republic Day celebrations enthralled the audience. The parade was led by Lt. Col. Suresh Chandra Rajan. T-90 Tank Bhishma, Infantry Combat Vehicle BMP-2 Sarath, Armored Recovery Vehicle, AM-50 (Sarvatra), Integrated Communication Vehicle, 105/37 MM Light Field Gun, 7.62 MM Medium Machine Gun were also displayed on the occasion of the parade.  During the parade, flowers were also showered by helicopter at the parade site and tricolor balloons were also released in the air.

Home Guards (Male Contingent), Prantiya Rakshak Dal (Women Contingent), Prantiya Rakshak Dal (Brass Band), Prantiya Rakshak Dal (Men Contingent), NCC Lucknow Group (Girls Contingent), Assam Regiment (Bag Pipe Band), NCC Lucknow Group (Boys Contingent) participated .

Apart from this, St. Joseph’s College Rajajipuram (Girls), St. Joseph’s College Sitapur Road (Pipe Band), St. Joseph’s Inter College Sitapur Road (Boys), City Montessori School Kanpur Road (Bag Pipe Band), City Montessori School Gomti Nagar Extension (Girls) ), City Montessori School Rajajipuram 1st Branch (Pipe Band), Boys Anglo Bengali Inter College Sunderbagh (Boys), LPS Vinamra Khand Gomtinagar (Bag Pipe Band-Girls), LPS Vrindavan Yojana (Girls), Eram Public College Indiranagar (Girls), UP Home Guards (Bag Pipe Band), Eram Public College Indiranagar (Boys), Lucknow Public School A-Block Rajajipuram (Brass Band-Boys), Lucknow Public College Sahara Estate (Girls), City Montessori School Kanpur Road Campus (Brass Band-Girls) ), G.G.I.C. Shahmeena Road, City Montessori School Gomtinagar 1st Branch (Bag Pipe Band-Girls), City Montessori School Gomtinagar 1st Branch participated in the flag march.

Cultural programs were presented on this occasion. Under this, the cultural troupe of Chhattisgarh state presented ‘Kaksar’ folk dance and the cultural troupe of Arunachal Pradesh presented ‘Pakhu Ittu’ folk dance. ‘Rai’ folk dance was presented by the artists of Bundelkhand region.

Attractive cultural programs based on patriotism and national integration were presented by the students of various schools. Rajasthani dance ‘Chirmi’ by St. Joseph’s College, Ruchikhand Shardanagar, ‘Bharat ki Shaan Tiranga’ drill by CMS Check Campus, ‘Yoga Guru, Vishwa Guru Bharat’ drill by CMS Rajajipuram I branch, Lucknow Public College A-Block Rajajipuram ‘Swarnim Bharat’ ‘ Dance, ‘Sandesh’ drill by Government Jubilee Inter College, ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’ dance by Lucknow Public School, Anand Nagar, ‘Tiranga Leharenge Hum’ drill by CMS Rajendra Nagar Campus, Dance by St. Mary’s Public Inter College, Amberganj Thakurganj Chowk, ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ drill by Bal Nikunj English School Paltan Cantonment, ‘Naya Bharat, Samarth Bharat’ dance by City Montessori School Mahanagar Campus, ‘Musical Yoga Pyramid’ drill by Bal Vidya Mandir Charbagh, ‘Bhiksha’ by Nagar Nigam Lucknow Umeed Sanstha From to education’ dances were presented. Thunderbolt team (male and female motorcycle team) of UP Home Guards, horse riding team of UP Police, dog team and well-equipped vehicles and ambulances of Fire Service were also displayed in the parade.

On this occasion, ministers of the state government, public representatives, government, army, police and senior officers of various departments and other dignitaries were present.
