Lucknow/ Ballia: According to the instructions of the Chief Minister of the state, Yogi Adityanath, along with the Minister of Urban Development and Energy and the ministers in charge of Bareilly Mandal, AK Sharma held a meeting with public representatives and district officials in the Collectorate Auditorium of Ballia.
State’s Livestock and Milk Development Minister Dharampal Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Forest and Environment Dr. Arun Kumar, Minister of State for Women Welfare, Child Development and Nutrition Pratibha Shukla, MP Santosh Kumar Gangwar, MP Dharmendra Kashyap, Ballia Mayor Umesh Gautam, District Panchayat President Rashmi Patel, Legislative Council Member (MLC) Kunwar Maharaj Singh, LLC Hari Singh Dhillon, MLA Cantt Sanjeev Agarwal, MLA Nawabganj Dr. MP Arya, MLA Mirganj Dr. DC Verma, MLA Nawabganj Dr. Raghavendra Verma, former MLA Mirganj Bahoran Lal Maurya, District Magistrate Shivakant Dwivedi, Senior Superintendent of Police Satyarth Anuruddha Pankaj, Chief Development Officer Jag Pravesh and other concerned officers were present.
During the meeting, the Ministers heard and saw the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ of the Hon’ble Prime Minister along with the party workers.
In-charge Minister AK Sharma told all the officers that it should be ensured that maximum benefit of all the schemes run by the government should be given to the public. He stressed that by ensuring speedy resolution of the problems of the people, better services should be provided to them. Expressing displeasure over receiving more complaints from the officials of Energy and Urban Development Department, directed for improvement in working style. He directed all the officers to take prompt cognizance of the complaints received through public representatives and ensure their immediate disposal. The people’s representatives gave information about the problems of their respective areas.
In the meeting, the District Magistrate provided detailed information about various welfare schemes run by the State Government to the Minister.
The Minister said that this year the heat was high, due to which the demand for electricity increased due to which there was a problem in the power supply. He said that this year electricity generation was more than last year and the supply is also getting one and a half times more. Due to less rainfall this year, there is a huge demand for electricity in the agriculture sector. Due to this farmers are facing problem in power supply. To overcome these problems, the Minister asked the public representatives and senior officers to exercise restraint and co-operation.
The Minister directed the Electricity Department that to reduce the load of the old sub-station and feeder, the problem should be resolved by connecting it to the new sub-station and feeder. He said that there are complaints of low increase in the electricity bills of the farmers, there is a need to improve them. He also directed that electricity connections should not be cut without informing. He gave strict instructions that if such a complaint is received again, strict action will be taken against the officers and employees of the Electricity Department.
The Minister directed to hold a meeting with the public representatives and administrative officers to solve the problem of green belt along the roads by discussing among themselves. He instructed the Municipal Commissioner that special attention should be paid to cleanliness in the morning. He said that along with the development of the district, special attention should be paid to the environment and it is the responsibility of all of us to plant trees around our house and pay special attention to cleanliness. He directed that trees should be planted on the banks of roads, canals, ponds etc. He directed the Panchayat Raj Department that the areas where the India Mark handpumps have been damaged should be rectified at the earliest.
On this occasion, Minister of State for Women Welfare, Child Development and Nutrition Pratibha Shukla asked the public representatives and officials to adopt and inspect Anganwadi centers. He said that the intention of the government is to eliminate malnutrition. This will be possible only if we all pay special attention to it. He directed the District Inspector of Schools to check the schools whose buildings are dilapidated and ensure that necessary action is taken.
After this, the Minister of Urban Development and Energy, AK Sharma, provided food to six-month-old children at the Circuit House and also completed the baby shower ceremony of pregnant women. The Minister laid the foundation stone of various development works of the Municipal Corporation, inaugurated and distributed keys to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
The Urban Development Minister inaugurated 86 works worth about Rs 41.685 crore and also laid the foundation stone of 33 works worth about Rs 23.989 crore under the district. The Minister distributed certificates to 10 beneficiaries under PM Svanidhi Yojana.
After this, the Minister also inspected the ponds and beautification made under the Smart City Scheme near Sanjay Community Hall.
