Lucknow: State Urban Development and Energy Minister AK Sharma has approved Rs 2 crore more during on-site inspection  for better management of drainage here to relieve the people of Jankipuram extension from the problem of waterlogging. With this, the work of repairing and widening the drain here will be done and culverts will also be built for drainage under the PWD road. Last year, he had approved the installation of 4 pumps at a cost of Rs 5 crore to eliminate waterlogging here. With the completion of this work, there was considerable relief from waterlogging in this area this year.

Urban Development Minister A.K. Sharma (AK Sharma) conducted a surprise inspection of Jankipuram extension area of Lucknow  in view of the heavy rains in the state. During this, he conducted on-site inspection of the operations of Jankipuram Flood Pumping Station located in Zone-03, Sahara State Turn of Jankipuram, Lucknow Public College, Tedhi Pulia etc. During this, he took information from the local residents about the problems of the area and saw the development works of the area. He instructed Municipal Commissioner Inderjit Singh to work on a war footing to ensure that people do not face any problem during the rainy season.

Urban Development Minister AK Sharma was told by MLA Dr. Neeraj Bora, Ward 67 Councilor Raghav Ram Tiwari and the people of the area that the area got a lot of benefit from the construction of a flood pumping station here and the twenty thousand population here which is They used to be troubled by waterlogging, today they are much relieved. The Minister instructed the Municipal Commissioner to soon prepare and submit a project for whatever problems are still visible in this area. The people of Sahara State Turn area thanked the Minister that there was a problem of waterlogging here for 22 years. There was waterlogging in an area of 05 km. A population of seven and a half thousand had to face problems due to waterlogging, which is now a complete relief.

AK Sharma has instructed all the bodies to remain alert and alert due to the heavy rain alert and asked them to work on war footing to solve people’s problems.
