Minister AK Sharma reviews complaints regarding irregular power supply

Lucknow: State’s Urban Development and Energy Minister  AK Sharma held state level public hearing on the third Wednesday of the month  as per the arrangement of ‘Sambhav’ portal. During this, he got to know the reality regarding the complaint by virtual interaction with the Managing Director, Chief Engineer and the complainant of all the discoms and disposed of 20 complaints on the spot.

He said that now thousands of such complaints coming at the state level will be resolved easily.

During the public hearing, the Energy Minister instructed MD Paschimanchal to act against JE Indresh Kumar and Lineman Raju of Pahasu sub-centre concerned for drying up the crop and forcibly harassing the consumer due to interruption of power supply of private tube well connection of Bulandshahr consumer Rakesh Goyal. . Shri AK Sharma complained of Rampur consumer Nathu Lal for not giving the connection even after depositing the amount for private tube well connection and directed the MDs of all the discoms that by the end of this month, the connection related to the private tube wells of the farmers should be completed completely. Make sure to complete it. Similarly, on the complaint of Mau consumer Ram Karan Chauhan, the meter reader directed to remove the meter reader Shri Ajay Vishwakarma on the issue of wrong bill and harassing. The complaint of Major General Ashok Kumar, a consumer of Badlapur tehsil of Jaunpur, is being supplied with the help of bamboo ball, taking cognizance of which he directed to install poles and issue the right connection.

The Energy Minister took cognizance of the complaint of Prayagraj consumer Mr. Brijendra Pratap after PD of the applicant’s electricity connection from the year 2014 and even after terminating the agreement of connection, the bill came and the connection continued and said that permanent disconnection of such connection would be done.

It should also be updated on the billing system and consumers should also be informed about the final disconnection by letter. In respect of non-payment of compensation till date, instructions were given to pay the compensation at the earliest.
