Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh calls for vibrant arrangements ahead of G 20 conclave
Lucknow: Minister of State (Independent Charge), Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Foreign Trade and Agricultural Export, Dinesh Pratap Singh said that along with Varanasi, Agra, Lucknow and Noida, the cities selected for the meetings of the upcoming UP Global Investors Summit, the work of beautification of state gardens and parks established in other major cities of Ayodhya, Mathura, Prayagraj and Kushinagar should be done.
Necessary arrangements should be made to decorate the venue with flowers. Exhibitions should also be put up at important places of the city. Create selfie points with beautification works, attractive slogans written on flower pots. He said that nodal officers should be appointed for beautification of selected cities.
The Horticulture Minister held a review meeting of the schemes of the department through video conferencing. He told the officials that by implementing the departmental schemes more effectively, organic farming, animal husbandry, pack house etc. should also be promoted.
The fulfillment of the set targets should be ensured by smooth implementation of the Horticulture Development Scheme in the coastal areas of Namami Gange-Ganga. Disciplinary action should be ensured against the officers who do not work according to the targets and the officers who do good work should be encouraged.
In the review meeting, Dr. R.K. Tomar, Director, Horticulture and Food Processing Department, along with a memorandum of thanks, assured the minister for effective and time-bound action on the specified points to all the concerned.
The review meeting was attended by senior officers of Horticulture and Food Processing Department, Divisional Deputy Director Horticulture and District Horticulture Officers.
