Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh expedites works of Horticulture Department
Lucknow: Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Horticulture, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Foreign Trade and Agricultural Export, Dinesh Pratap Singh from his official residence through virtual medium on the state nurseries/fields of the districts under various schemes run in Horticulture and Food Processing Department.
Reviewed the progress of the construction works being done by the designated executing agencies. He expressed strong displeasure over the slow progress of construction works in some districts. He said that the executing agencies should be given the date of completion of the work as per the contract, so that the work can be completed in a timely and quality manner.
He instructed that in 15 days the officers of the level of Deputy Director and in 01 month the Director should ensure regular monitoring of garden construction works.
The Horticulture Minister directed the officers through video conferencing that the executing agencies which have not been able to complete the work within the stipulated time should be punished.
He said that the district level officers will be responsible for the construction work to be done in their district. That’s why the district level officers should be in touch with the executive institutions and keep regular information about the work done by them and inspect them from time to time. He directed that action should be taken against the executing agency as well as the concerned officers for not completing the quality work and on time.
The Horticulture Minister told the officials that the state government is continuously working for the welfare of the farmers. Various schemes are being run for them. Various construction works are also being done through the schemes. Laxity or negligence will not be tolerated in any work related to the public.
On this occasion, Director Horticulture R.K. Tomar, Nodal Officer Construction Deputy Director Rajeev Verma and representatives of executive institutions along with divisional and district level officers participated.
