Unnao: In a rather shocking turn of events, two girls were found dead in an open field in Unnao last evening. Cops have confirmed that the third girl found with them is critical in hospital.
Reportedly the girls who were aged 16, 13 and 17 years old, left home on Wednesday afternoon to get fodder for animals. When the girls did not return, the family went out in search of them and later found the girls lying in the field, unconscious.
All cousins, they were tied up with clothes. They were later taken to hospital where the two younger girls died. The oldest had to be shifted to a hospital in Kanpur.
The bodies have been sent for autopsy. Doctors say symptoms are that of poisoning. A claim even cops point at.
Taking the matter very seriously, six police teams have been setup to probe what happened. A dog squad had to be put on the job.
SP Anand Kulkarni has been quoted saying that that a large amount of foam was found at the spot where the girls were found. The family claims they have no enmity with anyone.
An autopsy report is awaited.
