MNREGA proves to be a game changer for Uttar Pradesh
Lucknow: Under the direction of Keshav Prasad Maurya, Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh maximum work is being done under MNREGA in areas where employment is being given. Promptness is also being exercised in the payment of MNREGA workers. The distribution of wages at the houses is being done as far as possible.
Rural Development Commissioner GS Priyadarshi said that in the current year an amount of more than 9495 crores has been spent in MNREGA. In the current financial year in terms of MNREGA, the state is at the first place in the country in spending the funds.
Tamil Nadu 8915 crore and Rajasthan 7569.29 are in second and third place respectively. Crores of money has been spent. MNREGA has helped alleviate 65.07 lakh families in Uttar Pradesh this year.
Employment has been provided and the response in providing employment to the families has been good. The state is at the first position in the country. In this case also Tamil Nadu and Rajasthan respectively, they are in second and third place. 63.26 lakh in Tamil Nadu and 25.08 lakh in Rajasthan.
Employment has been made available to the families in MNREGA. more than 3 lakh 87 thousand families have been provided full employment for 100 days in the state.
