Mock Interview and Orientation Program on Employability Skills organized

Lucknow: On 13th May, 2023, Department of Psychology, University of Lucknow organized a “Mock Interview and Lecture on Employability skills” for the undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department under the guidance of Dr. Archana Shukla, Head, Department of Psychology, University of Lucknow, Lucknow.  Sangla Dixit, Director of Sigma Trade Wings LLP was invited as the guest speaker for the event.

The event was coordinated by Dr. Sindhuja Mishra. The objective of the event was to provide students with valuable insights into the professional world and equip them with the necessary skills to succeed in their future careers. The event was aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry and helping students understand the practical aspects of the job market.

The Mock Interview session provided students with the opportunity to experience a simulated job interview scenario. Under the expert guidance of Ms. Sangla Dixit, students learned to improve their interview techniques, receive constructive feedback, and enhanced their overall interpersonal skills. This hands-on experience proved invaluable to the students as they prepare to enter the workforce after years of study.

Followed by the Mock Interview session, Miss Dixit oriented the students with a comprehensive lecture on the topic as well. She talked about how Psychology can be applied to business objectives. Topics covered in the lecture included “The importance of Human Resources in businesses” and “Out-of-Home Advertising (OOH) at a global level”.

She also shared tips to the students to enhance their employability skills. Overall, the lecture proved to be an enlightening experience that will significantly benefit students as they embark on their professional journeys. The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Archana Shukla, Dr. Sindhuja Mishra, Dr. Manini Srivastava and Dr. Megha Singh.
