Yogi government is going to build a mini stadium in the village of Sahaspur Ali Nagar, the village of Shami, who took 7 wickets alone in the semi-final match against New Zealand. Mohammed Shami is originally a resident of Amroha.

CDO reached the village and inspected the land

According to Amroha DM Rajesh Tyagi, the UP government has decided to build a mini stadium and an open gym in Shami’s village Sahaspur Alinagar.  District Chief Development Officer (CDO) Ashwani Kumar along with his team reached Shami’s village and inspected the land selected for the stadium. According to the CDO, the construction work of the stadium will be started as soon as the budget is received.

According to the information, there are preparations to build a stadium on about one hectare of land in Sahaspur Alinagar. This stadium will have facilities for different types of sports. There will also be arrangements for coaching. According to the government, this will give the players of the district an opportunity to showcase their talent at the national level. Besides, players from nearby districts will also be able to take advantage of this. Let us tell you that Mohammed Shami himself has prepared a ground in his village. Whenever he comes to the village, he practices and trains children on this ground.

It is noteworthy that CM Yogi had given instructions to build stadiums in 20 districts of the state where there are no facilities for players at the block level. Recently, the CM had issued an order to the Provincial Guard Team to send proposals for construction of mini stadiums in these blocks. The officers had selected village Sahaspur Alinagar of Joya Block area for the construction of a mini stadium in the district.
