Monty Panesar Wants Younger Blood In Cricket Team

New Delhi: Senior players of Team India, who were ousted from the semi-finals of T20 World Cup 2022 after suffering a crushing defeat by England, are getting advice to leave the shortest format of cricket. Meanwhile, former England spinner Monty Panesar has urged skipper Rohit Sharma, Dinesh Karthik and Ravichandran Ashwin to make way for youngsters.

He also said that former captain Virat Kohli is fit and he can continue playing further. The run machine scored the most runs in the tournament.

Panesar said, “India disappointed everyone (the way they lost in the semi-finals) and I think there are going to be some retirements. To be honest, India didn’t even fight in the semi-finals. It was a completely one sided match. Indian bowling looked helpless in front of Butler and Hales. You are playing semi-finals and you need to fight hard. 168 is not a small score.”
