Moradabad gets gifted development projects worth crores

Lucknow: State’s Urban Development and Energy Minister AK Sharma inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 38 development projects costing more than Rs.66 crore under Moradabad Municipal Corporation. Along with this, the work done at a cost of Rs 84 lakh dedicated to the memory of Late Atal Behai Vajpayee was also inaugurated and the foundation stone was laid.

In this, 20 feet high marble statue of Bharat Ratna Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee installed at Atal Ghat on the banks of river Ramganga was unveiled. He also inaugurated Atal Smriti Sthal and laid the foundation stone of Atal Circuit. During this, he also provided the keys of housing online to 10 beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna Urban of Moradabad district.

Urban Development Minister AK Sharma took virtual participation as chief guest in the program organized in Moradabad district from Jal Nigam’s field hostel ‘Sangam’ Lucknow office. He dedicated important development projects to people online.

During this, while addressing the program, he said that in the memory of Late Atal ji, people have got inspiration by inaugurating and laying the foundation stone of his statue, Atal Smriti Sthal and Atal Circuit. He said that keeping in view the reverence of the people on the Atal Ghat being developed on the banks of river Ramganga, this place should be developed as a symbol of faith, so that this place can become a source of inspiration for the people and on the rock-pat. People got invaluable lessons of life from his poetic lines written. During this, he also paid his respects to Late Atal ji.

AK Sharma said that brass metal material is made in Moradabad, which is used all over the country and the world. The items made here would be found in the homes of people all over the country and the world. It is a matter of honor for Moradabad and its artisans. On this occasion, he sent his warm wishes to the people of Moradabad and said that a granddaughter has been born to the state president of Bharatiya Janata Party, Shri Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary. You are requested to send my best wishes till there and go to their homes and sweeten your mouth in this happiness.

In the program, Moradabad Mayor Vinod Agrawal informed that the Municipal Corporation is working on the ground for the convenience of the people of the city. Continuous cleaning, fogging is being done. Anti larva spraying is being done to prevent communicable diseases, dengue, mosquito borne diseases. Cleanliness and spraying of medicines has been done there by identifying the waterlogged places. This has brought a lot of relief to the people. He informed that so far more than 400 km long water pipeline has been laid and water has been supplied to 1.25 lakh houses. He said that Atal Ghat has been constructed on the banks of river Ramganga. It is here that the ashes of the revered Late Atal ji were kept. He paid his tributes to the late Atal ji on behalf of the people and dignitaries of Moradabad.

On this occasion, Director Urban Body  Neha Sharma said that this excellent work dedicated to Late Atal ji of Moradabad Municipal Corporation would prove to be a milestone for the residents of Moradabad and would establish new dimensions.

Secretary, Urban Development Department,  Anil Kumar, Director Urban Bodies  Neha Sharma, Regional MLAs and Councillors, District Magistrates, Superintendents of Police, officers of Urban Development Department and other dignitaries participated in the program.
