National P.G. College celebrating Amrit Yoga Week to spread word on Yoga benefits

Lucknow: In compliance with the instructions of the UP Government and District Administration, under the chairmanship of Principal Professor Devendra Kumar Singh, National P.G. College the Amrit Yoga Week was started in College, Lucknow jointly by the Department of National Service Planning and Education keeping in mind the spirit of Yoga for Humanity and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.

A seminar on the topic of healthy living was organized through webinar. Dr. Archana Singh, Program Officer, National Service Scheme, while introducing the topic in the context of Amrit Yoga Week and various dimensions of yoga, said that the basic objective of yoga practice is to increase the concentration of mind and brain along with the development of physical abilities of a person.  Program Officer R.C.S. Dr. Shweta Sinha said that Yoga plays an important role in upliftment of moral values ​​along with human personality development.

While addressing the students, Assistant Professor, Education, Dr. Reena Srivastava said that doing yoga is a good habit, you should do it with your family and stay healthy. In the webinar, students and teachers of the National Service Scheme volunteers participated in the college.

Assistant Professor, Zoology Department and Program Officer, National Service Scheme, Dr. Archana Singh was honored by the National Health Mission on World Blood Donor Day. National Service Scheme volunteers Ujjwal Gupta and Bharat donated blood by visiting Lucknow University to spread awareness about the importance of blood donation.

The Head of the Department of Botany, Dr. Abhijit Chatterjee, while stating the importance of yoga, said that yoga is our cultural heritage, we should adopt yoga in daily life, so that we will be physically, mentally and spiritually healthy.
